Transamerica’s Vendor Management System (VMS) provides a platform to engage staffing agency personnel and professional services providers (non-employee workers). The VMS helps centralize and standardize the processes and complexity related to temporary staffing by utilizing two separate work streams. The processes for each can be found in the links below.

The Hourly Workers Process

  • For fulfillment of scalable, on-demand non-employee jobs where workers submit timesheets and are paid based on the hours worked weekly.

Fixed SOW (Statement of Work) Process

  • For statements of work with specific duties to be completed and/or a particular goal to be met in exchange for a set fee. Not based on hours worked, but on the outcome/deliverables.

General Supplier Expectations

  • All activity must be captured in SAP Fieldglass. This includes all requisitions, candidate’s submittals, evaluation, work orders, workers, etc.
  • All items are approved in SAP Fieldglass based on Transamerica’s internal processes.
  • Suppliers are responsible for their workers’ management in the tool.
  • Billing inquiries should be raised as soon as an issue is uncovered, within 3 months at maximum.
  • Temporary job seekers cannot be submitted directly to a manager via email, hand delivery or otherwise.
  • Workers cannot begin their assignment until the background check is fully completed.

Suppliers can review the Supplier Guidebook for all the information needed to understand and comply with the VMS program, and how to engage with our team to begin successfully using it.

Utilize the training materials offered by SAP Fieldglass to get familiar with the system.

While performing work with or on behalf of Transamerica, suppliers must conduct their business activities in compliance with the VCC.
