We’re more than a business — we’re neighbors and community members, too. That’s why we step up to support the causes that matter to us through employee volunteering. It’s also why we founded the Aegon Transamerica Foundation, a nonprofit that focuses our corporate philanthropy on the areas most important to our employees through donations and volunteer efforts.

Force for Good week

Being a force for good is more than a part of our company culture, it’s a big part of living our best lives. In May 2023, we held our first ever Force for Good week, which encouraged employees to volunteer their time and energy to a personal cause for a company-wide social impact. As part of our commitment to corporate community engagement, eligible employees get 12 paid hours to volunteer each year.

Living your best life isn’t just about the money you’re able to save or invest. It’s also about being part of something larger and helping those who need it in our local communities. These are just some of the ways our employees have made the most of their volunteer time.

More than 200 Transamerica employees volunteer at the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic, an annual fundraising event for Kids on Course. The program provides students with new opportunities by putting them on a path to post-secondary education. The foundation and program were founded by professional golfer Zach Johnson, a Transamerica ambassador since 2004.

At CycleNation events around the country, our employees support life-saving research through the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association. These high-energy, stationary cycling events promote wellness in our employees and beyond, as the funds raised by cyclists are used for stroke, heart, and brain-centric research, prevention, and advocacy.
