Teaming up for a better future
We’re better off when we work together and pursue what drives us. That’s why we partner with research-driven organizations that are leaders in their fields. It’s also why we champion active lifestyles through professional golf sponsorships.
"Never before has there been as much connected, intergenerational decision-making navigating education, career transitions, estate planning, caregiving, housing, legacy, wealth transfer, and so much more."
Our research partnerships
We work closely with organizations like Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Transamerica Institute® to tap into the latest learnings and science affecting people’s finances and health.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology AgeLab
Longer retirements mean more careful planning. Our work with MIT AgeLab helps customers better understand the challenges and opportunities of longevity and how they might factor into their future. Our collaboration includes a focus on caregiving and its financial impact.
Transamerica Institute®
This nonprofit, private foundation is dedicated to researching and educating the public about health and wellness, employment financial literacy, longevity, and retirement.

Our pro golf sponsorships
Athletes remind us of the amazing things we can do when we prioritize our passions. So we’re proud to support golfers who share our commitment to healthy futures by sponsoring members of the PGA and LPGA.
“To have the privilege to lead 12 of the greatest U.S. players at the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome is something I look forward to with immense excitement, pride, and gratitude. I’ve been fortunate to do a lot of cool things in the game of golf, all of which have been alongside Transamerica.”
Zach Johnson
Zach Johnson’s remarkable career has taken him from Drake University to 12 PGA TOUR victories, including two majors, as well as being named the 2023 U.S. Ryder Cup team captain. His journey, which includes appearances in eight Ryder Cups — five as a player, two as vice-captain, and one as captain — and four Presidents Cups, has showcased an unwavering dedication to golf, sportsmanship, family, and his hometown community of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It’s no wonder he was awarded the prestigious 2020 Payne Stewart Award.
We began sponsoring Zach in 2004. He won the 2007 Masters and the 2015 Open Championship. Zach also founded the Zach Johnson Foundation and Kids on Course, a program that’s putting more than 1,000 disadvantaged students on a path to post-secondary education. We’re proud to sponsor the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic, benefiting Kids on Course. Many of our employees also staff the charity event as volunteers each year.
Azahara Muñoz
Since bursting onto the scene as the LPGA Rookie of the Year in 2010, Azahara Muñoz continues to exude talent, personality, and focus. Today, she returns full-time to the TOUR after welcoming her first child in 2022.
A six-time tournament winner, Aza missed just 10 cuts in 2020 and 2021 combined. She tied for second at the 2020 Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open after competing in a playoff.
Born in Spain, Aza attended Arizona State University, winning an individual and team NCAA championship before going pro. She has represented her home country in four Solheim Cups, as well as the 2016 and 2020 Olympics.
