Here to create a better world

We’re more than a business — we’re neighbors and community members. That’s why we step up to support causes that matter to us through employee volunteering. It’s also why we founded the Aegon Transamerica Foundation, a nonprofit that focuses on what’s most important to our employees through donations and volunteer efforts.

Force for Good week

In May 2024, we held our second Force for Good week, which encouraged employees to volunteer for a personal cause and company-wide social impact. Our commitment to corporate community engagement includes giving eligible employees 12 paid hours to volunteer each year.

“Our volunteer hours promote employee engagement and help us recruit and retain top talent. It’s meaningful because they can apply those hours to a cause that’s important to them.”

Employees helping their communities

Living your best life is about more than finances — it's about being part of something larger and helping those in need in our local communities. These are some of the ways our employees have made the most of their volunteer time.

Driving success through Kids on Course

More than 200 Transamerica employees volunteer at the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic, an annual fundraising event for Kids on Course.  The foundation and program were founded by professional golfer Zach Johnson, a Transamerica ambassador since 2004.

Building new lives with Habitat for Humanity

One of Transamerica’s long-time employee volunteer programs, Habitat for Humanity continues to create positive change in communities across the country.

“I have seen how having an affordable place to live changes people’s lives for the better.”

— Marijn Smit, Head of Transamerica Investment Solutions, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver Board of Directors member

Supporting life-saving research with CycleNation

At CycleNation events around the country, our employees support life-saving research through the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association. The funds raised at these stationary cycling events are used for stroke, heart, and brain-centric research, prevention, and advocacy.

The Aegon Transamerica Foundation

With our parent company Aegon, we established the Aegon Transamerica Foundation to make the communities where our employees live and work better. Through financial donations and our employees’ volunteer work, we’re working to empower communities socially and financially and helping people live longer, more fulfilling lives.
