WebTPA, Employer Services, LLC (WebTPA), a third-party administrator for claims adjudication for certain products, detected evidence of suspicious activity on its network. Transamerica’s information systems were not impacted by this incident.
Through its investigation, WebTPA determined that the unauthorized actor accessed its network and notified Transamerica that some customer data may have been impacted.
WebTPA is mailing customer notifications and is offering potentially affected customers access to credit monitoring and identity restoration services, including fraud consultation and identity theft restoration services. There will be no cost to individuals for these services. Information about these services and activation instructions are contained in the letter mailed to potentially affected individuals.
