Holly Waters
Chief People & Places Officer
For more than 25 years, Holly Waters has strengthened employee engagement and corporate performance through leadership in strategic planning, talent management, and organizational transformation.
Holly was named Transamerica’s chief People and Places officer in March 2020. In this role, she is responsible for leading talent acquisition and development, compensation and benefits, human resources operations and systems, diversity and inclusion, strategic HR business partnering, and the real estate portfolio and facilities for the company throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Along with other members of Transamerica’s leadership team, Holly is playing a key role in Transamerica’s strategic and financial transformation into America’s leading middle market life insurance and retirement company and advancing the company’s mission to help people live their best lives.
In addition to her experience with Transamerica, Holly is an entrepreneur who founded a human resources consulting business, enhancing her contribution to Transamerica through development of broader insights and best practices knowledge across a wide range of industries.
Holly is a graduate of Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She holds a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Executive Education program, and is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resources Management.
Holly enjoys traveling, volunteerism focused on addressing the needs of the homeless population, and spending time with family.
