Get to know Zach
Zach’s career includes 12 PGA TOUR victories, two majors, and 2023 U.S. Ryder Cup team captain. He’s played in eight Ryder Cups and four Presidents Cups, and was also awarded the prestigious Payne Stewart Award in 2020. Zach was featured in Netflix’s Full Swing in 2024, and he met with Iowa legislators on Capitol Hill.
Giving back
Zach founded the Zach Johnson Foundation and Kids on Course, a program that’s putting more than 1,000 students on a path to post-secondary education. Transamerica is proud to sponsor the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that benefits Kids on Course. Every year, around 200 Transamerica employees volunteer to staff the charity event, including its fundraising gala.
Captain of preparation
As the 2023 U.S. Ryder Cup team captain, Zach helped the team prepare to take on Team Europe in Rome, despite the U.S. being considered the underdog.
