Transamerica Recognized by NAPA as a Top Recordkeeper
Transamerica is ranked as a top retirement plan recordkeeper by financial advisors, according to the inaugural Advisors’ Choice Awards sponsored by the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA). Financial advisors were polled across five distinct retirement plan market segments. Advisors are extraordinarily well-positioned to compare and evaluate strengths of recordkeepers for retirement plans, as they see and experience first-hand the features, flexibility, and support that recordkeeping organizations provide across a wide variety of circumstances. NAPA asked advisors to vote only on the retirement plan services in their target markets, and to evaluate the services on a 5-point scale.
In all retirement plan services surveyed, Transamerica ranked as a top recordkeeper. These services included:
- Participant Tools
- Calculators
- Plan Sponsor Website
- Mobile App
- Regulatory Support
- Staff Credentials
- Advisor Support
- Participant Statements
- Education Materials
- Multi-Lingual Capabilities
- Plan Health
- Wellness
- Retirement Income
“Transamerica is deeply honored to receive so many top-five placements throughout all retirement plan services in the Advisors’ Choice Awards,” said Darren Zino, Senior Managing Director of U.S. Retirement Distribution at Transamerica. “This recognition reflects our strong commitment to the success of our retirement plan clients and their participants. We thank the advisor community for championing Transamerica as we work together to make our retirement plan programs successful for our plan sponsor clients and their retirement plan participants.”
Separately, NAPA also recently announced their annual listing of Top Defined Contribution (DC) Wholesalers, recognizing four Transamerica Regional Vice Presidents for excellence:
- Chris Castro, based in Southern California
- Justin Chilcote, based in Utah
- Gary Giffen, based in Massachusetts
- Chris Schutz, based in Maryland
Finalists for this year’s list of Top 100 DC Wholesalers were selected based on votes cast by several thousand financial advisors.
“Transamerica congratulates our four Regional Vice Presidents for their dedication to serving the needs of advisors and their retirement plan clients,” said Mr. Zino. Transamerica takes immense pride in the quality of our distribution team. They offer outstanding guidance and expertise to financial advisors and their clients and help them maximize the potential of their retirement plan programs. Our knowledgeable experts are ready to assist advisors through the entire selection process, from initial evaluations to final presentations with plan sponsors.”
NAPA, an affiliate organization of the American Retirement Association, was created by and for retirement plan advisors. While the financial services industry is well-represented by several trade associations that weigh in on issues affecting advisors, NAPA is the only advocacy group exclusively focused on the issues that matter to retirement plan advisors, according to the organization.
