Holly Waters

Chief People and Places Officer

For more than 25 years, Holly Waters has strengthened employee engagement and corporate performance through leadership in strategic planning, talent management, and organizational transformation.

Holly Waters is Transamerica’s chief people and places officer and a member of the Transamerica Management Board. In this role, she leads talent acquisition and development, compensation and benefits, human resources operations and systems, diversity and inclusion, strategic HR business partnering, and the real estate portfolio for the company throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Prior to this, she founded a consulting business, which allowed her to expand her knowledge of best practices and acquire new insights across a wide range of industries. She drew from her previous experience at Transamerica — a rich 20-year career — in her entrepreneurial endeavors.

Holly earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Spalding University. She holds a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Executive Education program, is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resources Management, and is a licensed practitioner for critical assessment tools.

Holly’s roots run deep in the bluegrass state of Kentucky where she and her husband Tom reside. They have proudly raised three daughters and a son. Holly enjoys traveling, volunteerism focused on addressing homelessness, and spending time with family.
