Tom Haus brings a wealth of tech-savvy expertise in driving technology strategies that fuse progressive innovation with practical application to deliver exceptional end-user experiences. With 30 years of experience in the financial industry, Tom has a natural talent for breaking down complex issues to arrive at insightful, relevant solutions that matter.

Tom was named Transamerica’s chief technology officer in May 2021. In this role, he partners across the company to modernize our platforms with intelligent, cloud-based solutions that blend agility, accuracy, scalability, and security into intuitive, real-time user interfaces.

As a member of Transamerica’s executive leadership team, Tom has implemented clear priorities for his organization to enable Transamerica’s strategic and financial transformation to America’s leading middle-market life insurance and retirement company while advancing the company’s mission to help people live their best lives.

Tom joined Transamerica in 2018 as head of Architecture Engineering & Strategy. In 2020, he was named chief technology officer for the former Individual Solutions division, where he led new product development and technology platform digitization with a focus on market differentiation.

Prior to joining Transamerica, Tom led critical technology strategy, architecture, and transformation for several top-tier firms, including Ameriprise Financial, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, and SuperValu.

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a dual emphasis in management information systems and finance from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
