On February 21, 2024, Change Healthcare (CHC) became aware of deployment of ransomware in its computer system. CHC is a vendor Transamerica uses to process certain claims payments for some of our HIPAA-covered products. CHC determined that the unauthorized actor accessed their network.
Transamerica’s information systems were not impacted by this incident.
CHC began mailing notifications to impacted individuals and is offering complimentary credit monitoring. The letter from CHC will include instructions on how to initiate and enroll in the credit monitoring service.
